1 cup cornmeal
1 cup all-purpose flour
1/4 cup sugar
1 tablespoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup milk
1/3 cup vegetable oil
2 eggs

Instructions:

Preheat oven to 400°F and grease a 9-inch cast iron skillet.
In a large mixing bowl, combine cornmeal, flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
In a separate bowl, whisk together milk, vegetable oil, and eggs.
Pour wet ingredients into dry ingredients and stir until just combined.
Pour batter into prepared skillet and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
Let cool slightly before slicing and serving.

Cheesy Jalapeno Cornbread

Ingredients:

1 cup cornmeal
1 cup all-purpose flour
1/4 cup sugar
1 tablespoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup milk
1/3 cup vegetable oil
2 eggs
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1/4 cup diced pickled jalapenos

Instructions:

Follow the same instructions as the Classic Southern Cornbread recipe, but add the shredded cheddar cheese and diced jalapenos to the batter before pouring into the skillet.
Bake as directed and enjoy the spicy, cheesy goodness!

Honey Butter Cornbread Muffins

Ingredients:

1 cup cornmeal

Instructions:
