Classic Char Kuey Teow Recipe

Ingredients:

Char Kway Teow
Char Kway Teow

400g flat rice noodles
200g prawns, shelled and deveined
100g fish cakes, sliced
100g bean sprouts
2 eggs, beaten
3 cloves garlic, minced
4 tablespoons soy sauce
2 tablespoons oyster sauce
1 tablespoon chili paste
2 tablespoons oil
Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions:

Heat oil in a wok over high heat.
Add garlic and stir-fry until fragrant.
Add prawns and fish cakes, and cook until prawns turn pink.
Push prawns and fish cakes to one side of the wok, and add beaten eggs to the other side.
Scramble the eggs until cooked, then mix with prawns and fish cakes.
Add noodles, soy sauce, oyster sauce, and chili paste to the wok.
Stir-fry everything together until noodles are well-coated with sauce.
Add bean sprouts and season with salt and pepper.
Cook for another 2-3 minutes until bean sprouts are slightly wilted.
Serve hot and enjoy!

Spicy Seafood Char Kuey Teow Recipe

Ingredients:

400g flat rice noodles
200g prawns, shelled and deveined
100g squid, sliced
100g mussels, cleaned
1 red chili, sliced
3 cloves garlic, minced
4 tablespoons soy sauce
2 tablespoons chili paste
2 tablespoons oil
Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions:

Heat oil in a wok over high heat.
Add garlic and red chili, and stir-fry until fragrant.
Add prawns, squid, and mussels, and cook until seafood is almost cooked through.
Add noodles, soy sauce, and chili paste to the wok.
Stir-fry everything together until noodles are well-coated with sauce.
Season with salt and pepper.
Cook for another 2-3 minutes until seafood is fully cooked.
Serve hot and enjoy the spicy kick!
