Classic Meat Lasagna

Ingredients:

1 lb ground beef
1 onion, diced
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 can crushed tomatoes
1 can tomato sauce
1 tsp dried oregano
1 tsp dried basil
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp black pepper
12 lasagna noodles, cooked
2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
1 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Instructions:

In a large skillet, cook the ground beef, onion, and garlic until the meat is browned. Drain any excess fat.
Add the crushed tomatoes, tomato sauce, oregano, basil, salt, and pepper to the skillet. Simmer for 10 minutes.
Preheat the oven to 375°F.
In a 9×13 inch baking dish, layer lasagna noodles, meat sauce, mozzarella cheese, and Parmesan cheese. Repeat layers until all ingredients are used, ending with a layer of cheese on top.
Cover the baking dish with foil and bake for 25 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden brown.
Let the lasagna rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.

1 lb fresh spinach, chopped
8 oz mushrooms, sliced
1 onion, diced
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 can diced tomatoes
1 tsp dried thyme
1 tsp dried rosemary
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp black pepper
12 lasagna noodles, cooked
2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
1 cup ricotta cheese

Instructions:

In a large skillet, sauté the mushrooms, onion, and garlic until the vegetables are tender.
Add the chopped spinach, diced tomatoes, thyme, rosemary, salt, and pepper to the skillet. Cook until the spinach is wilted.
Preheat the oven to 375°F.
In a 9×13 inch baking dish, layer lasagna noodles, vegetable mixture, mozzarella cheese, and ricotta cheese. Repeat layers until all ingredients are used, ending with a layer of cheese on top.
